A much more original take on the zombie genre, which I quite tired of a while ago. But this one takes it in a new direction, and the ending is definately a surprise!

First-hand account of the spread of a chemical named Agent X, told through the eyes of a 16-year old girl, unusually bright for her age. Lingers maybe a bit too long on the technical aspects of the submarine and the journeys to other places and focuses less on the Xombies than I'd have liked. Still, entertaining. Felt the ending was tacked on and somewhat let down by it.

Interesting. Not great, not horrible. Just interesting. The idea behind the "xombies" is very good and so is the end times kind of devastation brought by it. The writing is okay (I didn't know bad New Englander accents can translate to book form so well) but the plot drags at times.

A fast=paced story of science gone wrong( again). In the quest for imortality, something went terribly wrong. The best and the worst are brough out in MANKIND..you need to read this to know why the worst is from MAN..

I don't even know where to start with this book. I enjoyed the book. The author could have smoothed out the flow of the book a little. It was a bit bumpy in places, but the plot was a very interesting one. I am very much interested in the sequel due out in March as I want to see how he goes from here. I did not like all of the things that happened in the book, but then I tend to be a 'happily every after' person and this book most definitely did have a happily ever after ending. Several thought provoking areas in the book and an interesting take on just how our society would handle the end of the world as we know it.

This is a really well told story of a girl and the end of the world by xombies (zombies with an x) it seems that a virus that infects the human population is spreading at an alarming rate and Lulu and her mother are caught unaware, after her mother is turned Lulu is saved by the man that may be her father and the adventure continues from there as they enter a somewhat safe haven of a submarine shipyard and from there we see a difficult transition as Lulu is hated by many and seen as a harbinger of the ills even as she is given more responsibility by the ships Admiral and her "father" is arrested for treason after bum rushing the submarine and throwing over the "SPAM" (Sensitive personnel and Materials) the twists and turns are good fun and the ending is quite disturbing in this dystopian story.
