Armed with an arsenal of book knowledge on ranching, Sonnie returned to the Rocking M Ranch determined to prove that despite her sex she could be the son her father had slways wanted. Lance Harmon had beat her to the punch, though. The orphan her father had rescued years before had grown into a handsome man, her father's right-hand man. At first, Sonnie railed against him, but after one soulful kiss, she realized that while the rugged wrangler had captured her father's ear, he had roped her heart.

She rode in on her high horse, determined to unseat him. But Lance knew Sonnie had toppled him years ago, for he had always been head over heels in love with the rancher's youngest daughter. And yet, he planned to chase her away. Trouble on the range demanded it. Sonnie didn't shy away when danger came rustling through, though, proving to Lance that the one thing that meant more to him than the only home he'd ever known, was the only woman he'd ever loved, his Wyoming Wildflower.
