This series is one of my favorites. I've never enjoyed history but when it's presented in story form where the characters come to life and I become a part of it, living it with them, it's fascinating. I read the first two books in the series before the third one came out. Usually the memory fades and I don't get back to it. But this one has haunted me and I can't wait to read the ending (just received the 3rd book in the mail). Once you start, you will want to read the entire series!

A little slow in the beginning but once the characters were introduced, then it flew to where I wanted to know more. After 450 pages, it still wasn't enough.

This is a really interesting book! Can't wait to read the next in the series. Really has a different take on WWII.
