I loved this book. Charlotte was a sheltered kept woman who was "purchased" as a child. The man who finally found this runnaway woman turns out to be her champion.

another great book by klepas. I really enjoyed the male lead in this one, i thought the female lead was not as strong. This is the sequel to Lady Sophia's lover--Sophia's brother Nick Gentry.

I sometimes get impatient with the whole "I can't be happy because of my tortured past" plot, and in this novel it applies to both the main charaters. That being said, Nick and Lottie are both likeable characters, the romance was steamy, and it was nice to see Ross and Sophia again!

the sequel to Lady Sophia. I liked this book better than Sophia. I thought both characters were well drawn, and Nick's internal battles were very interesting and realistic. A very good book by an author I love.

Was very entertaining. Read in one day.. not something I usually manage anymore. But this story was well done.

Lisa Kleypas writes tortured/tormented men like no other author. Maybe it is a fantasy of all women to be love a man to health and happiness and Nick Gentry is certainly a damaged man who needs help. This man is damned and damaged. His character (and lack thereof) is well established in Lady Sophia's Lover but you don't have to start there to enjoy this story. I liked the other books but this was by far the best of the Bow Street series. It would be fine on its own.

i really loved this series!
I was really anticipating reading Book 3 of the Bow Street Runners series. The previous two had good story lines, although somewhat convoluted, and the two main characters had "chemistry".
Unfortunately, "Worth Any Price" had the most convoluted story line (a carryover from Book 2)and the "chemistry" amounted to numerous sex scenes (some of which seemed to be added on a whim and didn't advance the story a bit).
I am disappointed by this author because she has done much better.

loved this series! learned much of historical value as well.all three in this series are great!! All tyhree a must read, full of romance and steamy scenes!

Lisa Kleypas's novels are always a treat. The characters are believable and entertaining. You want them to succeed--especially when they are such dark, complicated characters as Nick Gentry (the main male in this story). Definitley a must if you like regency romance.

This book was one of Kleypas's more emotionally gripping stories(as opposed to the Wallflowers, which are lighter and more humorous) and plenty of hot love scenes! I enjoyed it very much.
A long-term criminal become Bow Street Runner falls in love with the runaway bride he was looking for. A little frustrated at how many hang-ups the hero and heroine have but other than that a quick, fun read. The hero, Nick Gentry, is the brother of Lady Sophia from the author's "Lady Sophia's Lover" book.
Great story!
Lisa Kleypas has yet to disapoint me. This was a good book.
