Good book. Michael Bennett is trying to solve another baffling case which unfolds a little at a time keeping you guessing right up until the end of the book. This was one book I didn't put down from the time I started reading until I finished the last page.

Another great story, after so many murder mysteries, Patterson comes up with another. Also, dont take this novel on a week end getaway, you'll never do a thing.

Enjoyed this book. It was an unusual plot and had an unexpected villain. Exciting and interesting all the way to the end. Then he adds another twist you don't see coming. A little romance adds another great touch, which causes this to become an incredible read. Loved it.
pretty good, but not as good as others he has written
great book
As all his books, a good, fast moving, easy read.
Very enjoy this book, short chapters made it easy to read and understanding the story. Page turning one after the other. Highly recommended.

Another very good book with Mike Bennett and a hot FBI agent. Children of wealthy people are getting kidnapped and killed, Mike has to find the killer with the help of an FBI agent. Mary Catherine, the nanny for his 10 children is jealous. This is an easy read and a good look into his life.

Enjoyed this story tremendously. Lots of suspense and keeps you guessing as to how Michael Bennett is going to solve the case. Excellent character development gets you into the head of the major players in the story; I couldn't put it down.

As always, a novel by Patterson is not only a fast paced book but an easy read. Michael Bennett is a compassionate New York City cop balancing a house full of children with the demands of his job. He's working with the FBI on a serial kidnapping case that keeps him constantly one step behind the kidnapper until the very end of the book. I'd definitely read another novel with this main character. His household alone makes the story worthwhile. Like the Alex Cross household, you begin to care about what happens to these folks.
This is the first James Patterson book I've ever read. He's an excellent writer. This is a very fast read, with many, many short chapters. It was a terrific story, with well developed, likable characters. However, the only drawback is all the swearing. From page 8 unto the end of the story, there are way too many curse words. Maybe that's realistic for NY law enforcement officers and people in the stressful circumstances, as in the story, but it would have been so much more enjoyable without all those offenses. Otherwise, this was a great story.

Another fast-paced thriller from Patterson and company. This is the third in the Michael Bennett series about a New York cop with ten children. I have enjoyed this series and think the novels are on a par with Alex Cross. This one was about a disturbed left-wing former protester from the 60s who is out to make the world a better place. While his intentions are good, his methods are pretty bleak including the kidnapping, torture, and killing of some young adult children of the rich. This was reminiscent of some early Cross novels. Overall, a mild recommendation for this one.

Loved it---couldn't put it down!
Like new copy! A wealthy psycho is killing innocent people without reason.
Detective Bennett is involved as led investigator.
His multi-cultural family is ill and causes additional stress, while he investigates.
He is also finally feeling his emotions again after losing his wife to cancer, and he has developed relationships with both a fellow FBI investigator and for his children's nanny.
The suspect is kidnapping children of wealthy parents and as the book plays out he takes 3 kidnapped children to an unexpected ending.
A well written novel by this author with attention to detail being his telling element.

Mike's at it again. GREAT mystery - rich-family kids are kidnapped and murdered: what's teh real reason and why can't the murdered be seen, mush less caught.
Family sub-text is the usual banter except this time Mary Catherine plays a bigger role; or was that prays for a bigger role in Mikes life :-). The family story is becoming almost (almost) bigger than the murders/mystery. Lots of fun; great read.
