As someone who has really enjoyed R. A. Salvatore's 'Drizzt' series, the discovery of the Spearwielder trilogy, of which this book is the first, was a welcome one, and it doesn't disappoint.
An ordinary guy, Gary is suddenly snatched from our world into the land of Faerie to be an unwilling participant in the fulfillment of an elf's life quest. Along the way they encounter many different creatures, some friendly, others not, and are constantly harrassed by the minions of the evil Ceridwen, who is intent on stopping the quest...
This is an excellent addition to R. A. Salvatore's work. Highly recommended!
