Jenny and her friends are excited. The sixth and seventh grades at her school are off on a week-long field trip to Camp Einstein. This is exactly the sort of thing they look forward to. Even the Pops can't dampen the trip for them.

But the trip starts off on the wrong foot when Jenny's group is separated for the cabins. She gets to share it with Chloe and Sam. But they find out they're also to share it with Dana and Addie. Addie used to be Jenny's best friend up until they started middle school. While Jenny went off to summer camp, Addie became friends with the popular crowd.

There are ups and downs during their week at camp. Addie and Dana get caught with prohibited electrical appliances. Jenny and Addie get teamed together for a trust exercise. And a bunch of them are grouped together for the nighttime hike and they get lost.

Adventures and arguments ensue for Jenny and her friends on their school trip to camp. INTO THE WOODS is another chapter in the HOW I SURVIVED MIDDLE SCHOOL series by Ms. Krulik. With fun quizzes interspersed throughout the story, as well as insider tips on surviving middle school, anyone who picks up this or any other books in the series will find themselves amused and educated at the same time.
