Three German women brought together after the war and living together in an old family castle. Depicts life for Germany after the war and the guilt and shame felt by many. All three women are very different personalities. Two were married to resistors, one of those is formerly wealthy but the other a small town farm girl. Talks about their life after the war, their emotions and how they pick up the pieces and move on.
