A mesmerizing (in that self-pitying way ala The Bell Jar) albeit cloudy and disjointed novel of an American Indian woman discovering herself and her attraction to women later in life. Those interested in a trifecta of Native American studies, women's studies, and lesbian characters would enjoy joining the main character as she "discovers her ...connections are to the spirit women of her people and the to the women of her own world."
