Jonet Rowland, Lady Mercer, is lovely, rich and the mother of two boys whom she is determined to protect, after her philandering husband is murdered. Capt.Cole Amhurst steps in as their tutor to protect them also, when it becomes apparant that treachery stalks the boys.

Nice change from the norm wherein the HERO has the moral highground. Very good book, characters and story.
