This book covered the relationship between Man Ray and his Muse Lee Miller. She was a woman beyond her time: a model, a free spirit, and a photographer.

Becoming Man Ray's apprentice she became a fashion photographer first, evolved into an art photographer specializing in the Surrealist Movement, and finally became a war correspondent documenting the aftermath of WWII.

While fiction the book is riveting.
