very good godly advice from Elisabeth Elliott... advice she gave her own daughter before she got married...highly recommend!
One of Elisabeth Elliot's most famous quotes is from this book, but most of us have not read the whole quote. She says, "We are called to be women. The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of Christian, but the fact that I am a Christian does make me a different kind of woman. For I have accepted God's idea of me, and my whole life is an offering back to Him of all that I am and all that He wants me to be."
Through her lifelong study of the Bible and using her own personal experiences as a single woman, a married woman, and a widow, she gives advice to women about womanhood, love, marriage, serving God, and many other things. I really enjoyed this book and I learned a lot from her gentle and wise words. I will be reading this again and then I will have my daughters read it when they get a little older. I wish I'd had this book 20 years ago!

Re-reading this classic of Christian literature has heightened my awareness of what has changed in society since publication.
The purity of thought and expression is so refreshing and gives hope of a renewal of standards and beliefs.
