Elizabeth Lowell writes Great stories! And this one doesn't disappoint!
He calls her Angel, though everyone else calls her Angie. She has survived excrutiating pain and injuries from a car wreck. And she lost her parents and fiance in that crash. He is Hawk, wealthy and skeptical of all women. He believes females all tell lies to get what they want from him. Forced to give Hawk tours of the area to help her friend sell his land, Angel recognizes her attraction to Hawk, but dislikes it. Hawk is flabbergasted by Angels truthfulness and is afraid that he must protect Angel from himself.
