This book will make you become the title! "A Woman After God's Own Heart". After reading this book, studying the Word, and following along in the related workbook - I am changed. Men and women were not created equal...period. Women are the weaker vessel...period. We are to be help mates unto our husbands...period. Those are three things I never wanted to agree to. After reading this book, along with the OBVIOUS passages in the New Testament (cited in the book) We cannot claim to be walking closely with God and in the self-same breath say we are equals with our husbands. That isn't what God says about marriage...read THIS book to find out more. It is literally one of the most inspirational and thought-provoking books I have ever read. Not to mention...

...my husband and myself have been closer, more connected, more "one", more ON FIRE for our Lord than ever before---because of this book.

A practical guide to a Christian woman wanting to improve her effectiveness in living with her husband, children and her relationship with friends.
Although the book is very helpful, it is written from a bit of a perfectionist's view and may be overwhelming to some.

I really enjoyed this book.... There is some highlighting in the first half of the book, but I don't think it will be distracting to the reader.

As a new mom struggling to balance being a good wife with motherhood, I was looking for an encouraging read. I did not like the organization of this book. After each chapter I felt overwhelmed with how I was going to get it all done, rather than feeling encouraged. I must admit, I felt convicted about some of the points the author made, but all in all, this is not a book for new moms. Perhaps helpful if you have older children and more time on your hands.
