What a great book! I thought this would be a fantasy, but was instead set in 18th? or 19th? century England. I found it to be a fascinating story, complete with crazy royalty, ghosts, romance, and murder.

Perfect for Sunday afternoon relaxing

A young woman's father dies leaving her penniless in the 1700s in England. Her path leads her to a duchess who believes she may be the long lost daughter of a medium who can contact the spirit world. A quick moving read, lighthearted with nothing serious about it. Pure diversion!

I was disappointed with the plot of this book. The synopsis was promising but the actual story was not at all interesting to me. I don't know if I should try any more by Barbara Michaels.
