This is a story of a mentally disturbed Vietnam vet, struggling with post traumatic stress syndrome, as one of the homeless in Seattle, Washington. Or it's a story about a wizards and sorcerors, hidden in the guise of Seattle's homeless, fighting a battle across the city, the with an unknown force that could destroy them all.

Megan Lindholm is better known as Robin Hobbs these days. I like the Robin Hobbs' books, but I absolutely adore this book, and have since I first read it more than 20 years ago.

It's a very twisty little urban fantasy that I definitely recommend.
