Enjoyed this book. Didn't know who the killer was until the very end. Can't wait to read the next book in the series

With this book, we see more of Ophelia's friend, Darci and we continue to learn that things aren't always what they seem. This series doesn't seem to be loosing any steam and Damsgaard continues to keep us entertained.

I like this series enough that I'm going thru them at about a book a day. But this one was my least favorite. Damsgaard uses Prologues in each book. Usually they are just like a first chapter. The book picks up where the prologue ended. But in this one it came as an excerpt from near the end of the book and I hate it when authors give so much foreshadowing. It kind of ruined the suspense for me. I had it figured out way too early. Happily, she fixed that again in Book 5.

Ophelia is a thirty something, single librarian who shuns her psychic abilities and denies her grandmother Abby's benevolent witchcraft. Having "seen" her best friend's death, but unable to warn him that his death was imminent and save him, she escapes the trauma and moves to her grandmother's small town. In spite of her denying her and her grandmother's uncanny abilities, Ophelia is drawn into mysterious events and deaths in her new hometown. A pleasant series.

I have liked some of the earlier books better than this one. Darci didn't add much and Abby wasn't so interesting will continue to read the series though.
