It was so/so. I enjoyed the story but the writing was not great. It was a bit choppy and I found myself rereading sentences because I thought I skipped something when it was just that the writing was bad. That being said the story was cute and I will probably read the next one in the 3-part series.

For the most part I liked it. I'm not one for any type of romance stories but I read it anyway because my mom kept laughing through the majority of it. I didn't laugh much when I read it. It was a tiny bit slow in parts but otherwise I don't really remember much about it. It just didn't stick with me.

I really liked this book. I didn't notice any choppiness in the writing as mentioned in other reviews but I did wish that the hero had been a little more developed with details. I can't wait for the rest of the series. The details of the "craft" I thought were interesting and actually blended well into the story.

This was one of the more fun books I've read lately... Hope the next 2 in the series are just a good. The characters are well thought out and enjoyable. You really want to know more about all of them.

Oddly enough, WITCH IN THE HOUSE fell flat for me. Yes, there is some humor and quite a bit of details about spells.

WITCH IN THE HOUSE isn't a bad book, however. It's just very... simple, and very charming. There is no complexity to the plot and even the promised intrigue involving the missing husbands never really emerges. The ending, however, is classic as I loved Mason's determination and creativity in winning the heart of Jade.

This story is loaded with humor and romance. Perfect for reading on a rainy evening or to perk up your spirits on a day when all seems to be going wrong. Light-hearted and magical.
