I so much enjoy this author who incidently is not a woman but a man! Knowing this makes for more interesting reading. This book does not disappoint except at the end...which has a bit of a twist. An excellent character study of the Glaswenian culture of both rich and poor and newly rich. Takes a look into the lives of the working, the poverty stricken, the selling of children and more. A great read. I recommend it.
