This book was given to me...I usually rip through stories based on the Arthurian legend, but I had a tough time with this one. I'm not planning to go on to the next in the series.

Bernard Cornwell has done it again - historical research coupled with a compelling tale. You've never heard the Arthur legend this way before. This is a real page-turner.
After reading Cornwell's Saxon series and loving it, I thought the story about Arthur would be interesting.
However, the story is from the perspective of a priest looking back on his memory of Arthur's life.
Which wouldn't have been bad, but Arthur doesn't even show up until after page 100? And he's only there for a few pages before he's gone again.
I doubt I'll finish the trilogy.
