Not quite as good as the first one. I really liked the hero and heroine. However, their story started off slow and got draggy in the middle. I felt that Ms. Gracie was trying to stretch it out to get more pages. It picked up after the middle and it was uphill after that. I loved the ending. Every issue that I had been thinking about during the story came together for a 'happily ever after' conclusion. Recommend.
Wow, what a story! Damaris and Freddy each had heartbreaking histories, which made these characters so very interesting and kept me reading. Their sham courtship and subsequent engagement turned out to be the perfect opportunity for them to find love, healing, and a true north in each other. Enthusiastically recommended at 4.5 stars!
Very pleasant read, about a girl (Damaris) who was raised in China by a father who hated her and a man (Freddy) whose parents blamed him for his elder brother's death. Each has painful secrets they fear others will learn. Told with warmth and small realistic touches amidst the fantasy. Second in the Chance Sisters series. Recommended.

What a truly fun and enjoyable book. I loved this story, the two main characters are incredible and have a passion for being honest and loyal. Both have suffered in their past and deserve to be happy, so glad that they found each other.
The witty dialogue and honest speaking is so refreshing to have in a HR, none of the whining over and over female and the suffering male!
I love Aunt Bea! I hope she finds love too! Don't miss a great series, looking forward to the next bride.

Anne Gracie did it again!!
Another winner.
Max Davenham has asked Freddy Monkton-Coombes, his oldest and best friend to look after his aunt (which she is) Beatrice and her three nieces (which they aren't) while he goes on his honeymoon. As Freddy can't think of any way to decline, he accepts the task. This is a delightful tale about Freddy and Damaris (one of the 'fake' nieces) and how their romance blossoms - neither has any intention of ever marrying.
Each has a secret which profoundly affects their lives and which neither has ever divulged to anyone else.
Looking forward to the next book in the series.
