Winter Break is a so-so book with an interesting premise that doesn't quite work. The story centers around a young college student named Didi who is head over heels with her jock boyfriend Drake. The two have been dating since high school when they bonded over a tragic accident. When Drake is accused of raping a student at their college, their relationship is left in shreds. For some reason, despite the serious rape allegations, they all decide to go on a cruise during winter break, including the young woman who was allegedly raped. When Drake ends up missing on the cruise ship, Didi fears the worst. While the story was mildly interesting I found many of the plot points to be ridiculous.
