While an interesting story, in some ways I'm happy to see this series come to an end, if it has. Most of the author's battles seem to serve no other purpose than in killing off most of this world's intelligent and semi-intelligent life. It's like some other sci-fi novels which have entire space fleets engage in huge battles, with only a few ships left at the end.

The author lets you know at the end he "might" come back to this series, I suspect he's gotten tired of it somewhat; or might move on to a spin-off, which he has. He now has three novels relating the "Nussies" entrance into this world. And I'll freely admit I have the first of that series.
