Regency romance by Evelyn Richardson.
Has a whacking great title error on page one which threw me out of the book, and it took quite a while to finish it because I kept picking it up and putting it back down. The prose has a real flavor of the period, and there are some likeable minor characters (Boney the parrot; Alan the shy Marquess of Hillingdon; Aunt Seraphina), but I didn't feel much emotion between the characters and as a romance it just never took off. This author has more compelling reads to offer.
