Whit goes to the backwoods of the Smoky Mountains to review a property that is going to be developed. What he finds there is his old army buddy obessed with the area, his strange wife, and lots of odd goings on. As they go into the woods the back story of how the woods got this way transfers us back to 1916 when the area was owned by an eccentric millionaire who got Tesla of all people to build him a fantastic machine!! It gets weirder by the page. Great Read.

I loved this book. Set in the North Carolina mountains -- anything might lurk there!
