Quick read. Fascinating account about the life of one of the world's leading naturalist. Someone that knew and helped Dian Fossey and knew the Adamson's. Joan Root spent her life in Africa and tried to preserve it for future generations. Life did not treat her kindly in marriage or in death. The world lost a kind and gentle spirit. Thank you Mark Seal for writing this book.
