can't go wrong with Rosemary Rogers

The longest, most drawn-out tale where I increasingly dislike the heroine who the author keeps referring to as so intelligent but who doesn't act with much. Hate when authors give me a woman like this! This could have been a book 1/3 the length and, perhaps, a much tighter story. Every section I kept asking myself if I should continue reading or just skip to the last 25 pages and get it over with. Rosemary Rogers does have a gift of storytelling; in this case, however, she just does go on and on and never really draws me in to like the hero or, finally, the heroine.
