It's always fun to peak into someone's diary! Ruess wandered alone through the High Sierra and through the deserts at a young age and wrote about his adventures. At age 20 he mysteriously disappeared from the Escalante Canyon area of Utah and has not been heard from since. He would have been an interesting person to know!
