I saw this on display at the bookstore and cover art withstanding was intrigued by the story. Since lately I find myself not liking most of my new author tries I enjoyed this book and wanted to put it out there that if you like lighthearted romance that makes you grin then try this Beth Ciotta. Course this is the second in a series so you might want to start with the first one about Kylie. I am a big fan of Kristina Higgens and this is the closet author I have found to her style of writing.

This book is not what I expected. I like romantic comedies where boy meets girl; boy and girl argue even though they're attracted to each other; and in the end boy gets girl. This story has that basic outline; however I found some of the language to be unnecessary and some of the romantic scenes to be a little overdone. Not my cup of tea. However, if you are not easily embarrassed by steamy romance and many f-bomb drops, you may get a kick out of the witty banter between the two leads.
This story gets very involved as we follow River Kane into the Amazon looking for her long lost father. She becomes involved with a treasure hunter and falls in love. It is a very twisted plot and takes some time to unravel. Good story and a great ending although it seemed to take quite abit of time to get thru it, thus not a quick read but worth the time.
