Very good book. Again, I must complain about the stinkin' cop as love interest angle that all of the cozy writers are using lately. It's really old. But at least Terri Thayer uses a little bit of a different twist for her romance. 1st of all, Buster is the childhood friend of Dewey's little brother. 2nd of all, there is sex! WOOHOO! At least if you are going to give them someone to moon over, give me a reason to moon as well! LOL

Dewey recently lost her mother and inherited her family's legacy... a quilt shop that sounds like it is a small general store but in description is actually closer to a mega quilt store (1 million in sales annually). Dewey is a techie with no crafting skills at all so she finds her self fighting to modernize the company against her SIL who is stuck in the old ways. Her SIL is a conniving twit and I couldn't help but wish that she would be the next murder. :O)

The resolution was easily figured out IMO but the story and the progression was really a good solid read and I can't wait to start the next book in the series.

I'm not a cozy fan, but wanted to give this book I won in a swap a try before passing it on. What a nice surprise! This cozy has much more character development, real life people, rather than the whacky characters of most cozies. The mystery plot was simple, but written in a way not to be boring. And yes, there is sexual desire, and a bit of fooling around :) as well as other real to life emotions.

For some reason I thought this book was a Christian Cozy, and I put off reading it. They do tend to be kinda BLAND. This book grabbed right away, I loved the mystery. I was nicely surprised to see that there was sex. Nothing graphic. The real emotion and and need between the two romantic leads was well written. I think the thing that impressed me most about this book was that the Author really was able to write about how much death and murder really grieves those left behind. In most cozies they just pick themselves back up and start solving a mystery. The author wrote in the back that she wrote this Quilting mystery because she could not find a quilting mystery like this on the market. I agree. It is better than some of the others.

If you like to quilt, you will ♥ this book!!! Dewey is really a tech person at heart but when her momma dies and leaves her the family quilt shop, she must somehow turn into a quilter. Her sister in law is going to drive her to drink. Her brother just wants everyone to get along. To top things off, she manages to find a dead body at the local quilt show!!!!

IF you like quilts, mysteries and a free quilt pattern...this is the book you will want to read.

I really enjoy the style of Terri Thayer's writing. And I love this series. Even though I'm not a quilter, I still felt like I was one of the them. Each book in the series is actually names after a quilting pattern, which I found very interesting.

Dewey Pellicano has inherited her mother's quilting store, and doesn't really know what to do with it since she is not a quilter herself. She wants to keep it for her mother's sake, but would really like to sell it.

While at a national quilting show, Claire Armstrong tells her that she and her mother had a handshake deal for Claire to buy the shop. Dewey is surprised, but likes the idea of selling. However, before she can accept, Claire is found dead in her room. Now Dewey must try and find out who killed her.
