Another excellent ecclesiastical historical cozy. Sister Frevisse travels with a widow left in the protection of the convent by her conniving brother in law and winds up in the middle of royal intrigue, murder and betrayal. Would have been a 5, but the ending was a little too neatly tied up to try and impose order on grim circumstances.

Margaret Frazer's research of medieval times, list of fictional and nonfictional characters of the times, along with an intriguing mystery makes for a good read. Highly recommend her books to all who like a good mystery, along with lots of historical facts of the times.
