This book could have been really, really good. The backdrop of the story line was very interesting and unique. But what rendered this a 3 star book from me was the constant back and forth on the heroine's part. Yes I love him, no I don't, yes I do, no I'm running away. FINALLY, she decides to stick it out after the hero's been chasing her the whole book, and then he decides it's too scary to be in love and sends her away. Frustrating!

Third book of the Penwich School for Virtuous Girls, we finally have Marquerite's story. Introduction of a few new character's with Jack Hadley's other daughters. Hoping we have more books on them.
This story doesn't involve Evie & Fallon much from the previous books. So it is a nice stand alone read if you haven't read the other two yet. You could definitely read this & still go back to the other two.
I found it to be a quick read, no complicated plots/characters to keep up with.
