I normally don't read historical novels, however, it was one of the books I threw into the suitcase to take with me on a trip. With over 350 pages, you get much more than the normal number of pages for a romance novel. It has some interesting twists in it.
I purchased this book thinking I was going to delve right into yet another romance novel, but to my surprise it was rather quite different. What I found was a mystery novel entwined within a romance novel.
The author of the book is rather new yet, which made the story a little rough around the edges. However, learning the most about the mysteries near the end of the story, and still having the romance take it's usual form made it worth the read.
I guess what it all boils down to, or at least the way I grasped it, it was like a mini soap opera like you would see on TV.
