While I was reading this book, I felt like I sometimes do reading a Danielle Steel or Johanna Lindsey, and that is....did the author I usually love truly write this book? I did not really like this book. The story line premise was fine. The writing did not flow at all like her previous 7 Boscastle books. I find that my fellow PBS book raters are usually right on and I agree...3 1/2 stars at best.

Character development is excellent which is what we have come to expect from Jillian Hunter. She is so good at making these characters believable that we think they are part of our circle of friends. The one thing I was disappointed in was that we only saw Devon Boscastle and we didn't catch up with the rest of the Boscastle clan we met from previous books. I really look forward to hearing what the rest of the family has been up to and was a bit disappointed not to learn what has been happening with them. It was like going to a family reunion with half of the family gone! But aside from the book was eay to read with fun and exciting turns.

Fun read, not much in the way of building characters or history so it was a really quick read also. Liked the back and forth ease of Eleanor and Sebastien and how they played off of each other and had trust in each other.

Not her best Bocastle book. I liked the characters but found the whole story line very weak. She really could have fleshed their story out so much more. I have a feeling that on the whole, this is one book in the series that could be missed.

Didn't hold my interest as such as several other of Jillian's stories. However, a Boscastle is a Boscastle and I enjoy reading their stories.
