A good book that gives much information about profiling serial killers. It also gives insight to many serial killers that are well known such as Ted Bundy,Jeffery Dahmer,Charles Manson,Edmund Kemper,John Wayne Gacy,John Joubert and Gerald Schaefer. Robert Ressler worked tracking serial killers for the FBI.

This is the 1st book I read about such a subject. This book honestly turned me on to reading on the subjects of serial killers & death. I would recomend this as good reading for anyone who is fascinated about the darker side of the world we live in.

There are points early in the book where I felt he was almost bragging too much - but all the other famous profilers mention him as the one they learned from - and the original writing was a few years ago. A DEFINITE recommendation for those interested in the development of modern day profiling and origins of what is just "accepted truth" now - things that were theories and ideas back then! VERY GOOD choice for those interested in true crime!

More interesting than most profile books in that he explains what logic they use in determining some of the profiles. However, you have to get past his ego to enjoy the book!

The FBI agent who claims to have coined the term serial killer recounts his interviews with some of the most notorious of them including Charles Manson, John Wayne Gacy, and Ted Bundy.

I only glanced at the book, but judging from the captions on the photo section bound into the center of the book, these are quite disgusting folks.
My rating (to be fair) is based on the reader being interested in such fare. After all, the AMC series about zombies has gone a hundred episodes already. And there are nine wishes for this book. And I believe the book was reprinted....
