This was one of my favorite books growing up, & i still quote it to this day! It's a collection of short stories, all including best friends Pauly & Oakley, & Pauly's girlfriend, Lilly, & interspersed with poems written by Oakley himself.

Also: if you enjoyed this novel, check out the collection of short stories, Places I Never Meant to Be, edited by Judy Blume. Chris Lynch's story is 1 concerning Pauly & Oakley, the strange nature of their relationship, & a trip to the gym.
