Graphic novels are quite popular among my middle school students, but I had yet to read one. One of my students suggested that I read White Bird and many others agreed. I am now hooked on graphic novels. R. J. Palacio hit it out of the park yet again. I couldn't put the book down, and the illustrations helped to bring the characters and the story to life. I highly recommend this book especially for reluctant readers who might really enjoy the graphic novel format.
