This is the 4th book in the Shadow Falls series and was the best book yet! There are 5 books in this series and a spin-off series called After Dark that consists of another three books. A lot happens in this book and it is so interesting and engaging. There are spoilers ahead for those who haven't read the first three books.

Kylie has found out that she is a chameleon, but she doesn't know exactly what that is. She is on pins and needles waiting for her grandfather to visit and explain things. However things get weird when a ghost with Holiday's face starts haunting her. To make everything worse Lucas is constantly gone and ignoring her because of the demonds of his Pack.

We learn a lot more about Kylie's power and about the history of chameleons among the supernaturals. This was all very interesting. There are also some side mysteries involving Holiday's past.

I think part of what makes these books so engaging is the side characters and how their lives and issues intertwine with Kylie's story. It's fun to see Miranda and Perry finally happy. It's heartbreaking to watch Della go through some of the issues with her family. It's interesting to watch Kylie's mom start to recover from her separation from Kylie's dad. It's like a supernatural soap opera.

While this book isn't incredibly creative or unique it is an incredibly engaging read that is a bit of a guilty pleasure for me.

Overall this was the best book in the series yet. The story makes a ton of progress and we learn a ton more about Kylie and her powers. I am very curious to see what happens next and can't wait to start reading the next book. I would recommend to fans of YA paranormal books.
