Widowed Alberta Brown has tried to right the wrongs her husband committed. Her last act of penitense takes her to England, where she meets the brother-in-law (Lord Robert Jamison)of her best friend.Several attempts on her life are made while she and Lord Robert fall in love. But truth and trust are hard to come by, and therein lies the tale.
Interesting story line, good character development. Recommended.
