Here is an exciting book of projects for the craftsperson, beginner or expert; it is also an easy guide for anyone working with children of any age. Taking her inspiration from the animal stories we all grew up on, Miriam created--and inspired others to create--more than two dozen charming and witty animal dolls with very human personalities, as well as clothing, furniture, and dwellings for them. Half of the animals are completely cloth dolls with heads of Paper Clay, a non-toxic air-drying product. Miriam takes the reader through every step of the process in creating these animals and accessories. Some of the animals are playful creations by professional doll-makers, while others have been made by children as young as five.
