  I don’t know whether I should write a poem
Or whether I should hide in the garage

I don’t know whether I should write a poem
Or whether I should try some decoupage

I don’t know whether I should write a poem
Or whether I should search for buried treasure

I don’t know whether I should write a poem
Or whether I should write about the weather

I don’t know whether I should write a poem
Or whether I should take up tatting lace

I don’t know whether I should write a poem
Or whether I should write more, just in case

OR:
I don’t know whether I should wait for June
To eat a prune
With a spoon
At noon
Or, under the light of the moon,
Or whether I should decipher a rune,
As I croon
A nameless tune,
While running away from a goon
