This book is definitely a MUST HAVE for every new cook. I am a seasoned cook, but kept a copy for me too!

My son is going away to college next Fall and this is a great book that covers the basics of setting up your first home away from home. The ring-bound format allows me to add my own recipes, instructions and advice.

I got this book as a gift for a kid who was just moving out on her own for the first time. This book is perfect for college age kids. It has sections like, "How to pick the perfect tomato at the grocery store" and "How to get that stain out of your shirt", "When it is just a nosebleed and when you need to see the doctor", "Car and bicycle maintenance" plus a cookbook too! The cookbook also has sections for your mom to write in your favorite recipes. To be honest, I also wanted one for myself.

This is a great book, full of wonderful recipes, too.
I gave it to my daughter when she went away to college. Now I have it back just for the recipes. I use it often.

This has been my favorite cookbook for more than 20 years. It's got basic recipes that I've used for many years, then how to fix, when to go to the doctor, etc. in the back. You also have pages to write your own recipes. This is the perfect gift for newlyweds or for anyone who enjoys cookbooks.
This is basically just a cook book. It has a few pages on nutrition and how to select food. If you are looking for a cookbook great. If you are looking to teach somebody how to cook, keep looking.
