Great book. Great poetry. Great fun.

The new poems are just as good as the originals at teaching kids to be rebels, I can't wait to read "Gorilla" to my 1st grade class. They still changed "The Gypsies are Coming" to "The Googies are Coming".

I still love these poems after all these years. Who can fail to recall "Lazy Jane" when speaking or hearing about anyone lazy, or when it rains outside?
Or "What a Day" when you are "that kind of day"?
And can you ever use clean the bathroom without thinking of the delightful drawing that accompanied the lines:
"Teddy said it was hat
So I put it on
Now Daddy's saying
"Where the heck has the toilet plunger gone?"
Maybe I am just as silly as the book...
