At first I wasn't sure how I would like the book since the old familiar characters were no longer "front and center". Got over that quickly! You will find yourself falling for all the new characters' stories and enjoying the glimpes of the characters you know from her previous books. I found myself yearning for Gabby's life to get on an even keel and hoping that her husband would find faith.

This book is a wonderful spin off of the Yada Yada series. Though not as great as the original (I miss the prayer meeting parts and the original gals) this is still a great series that will touch your heart and maybe even hit home. And keep the tissues handy, you'll need it.
The story line flows wonderfully and although this book doesn't deal with Yada Yada much itself, a few faces pop back and I have a feeling they'll be around more in the other books in this series.
And also Neta's husband is doing a book that deals with one of the male characters in the book, the doorman Mr. Bently.
So this series is turning into a male side and a female side of the book and it'll be interesting to see how the two come together. But again Neta does not let us down with her writing.

Wow!!! I loved this book and was sad to see it end! I enjoyed the story so much and the author leaves you with SUCH a cliff hanger at the end! Which is why it's good there is a follow up ("Who Do I Talk To?") coming out at the end of the month! Can't wait to continue the story.
I appreciated the fact that the story was set in Chicago, with other settings in Virginia and North Dakota. It seems like ALL of the fiction novels I read this summer by the pool were set in New York City and after a while, I was getting tired of the SAME setting... So this was a much appreciated breath of fresh air!
This was the first book I read by Neta Jackson and based on this, I can't wait to read more by her! I loved her exploration of a woman seeking God through the chaos of her circumstances. She developed the character so well that it was very easy to empathize with her thoughts and feelings. I'm very much looking forward to finding out what happens next in Gabrielle's journey...

Awesome book...Neta Jackson did it again. I was afraid the new series would leave something to be desired after how great Yada Yada was. She pulled it off with all the same reality and grace. I love reading her books.
