If you haven't already, go back and start this series from the beginning and meet the original forensic anthropologist sleuth - this book is quite good as a standalone but it's always nice to grow with the character. I've read and enjoyed many of the "bone doc" style series since this one, but there is just something particularly endearing about Gideon Oliver. Two daggers up! :)

First forensic thriller I've read outside the Kay Scarpetta series. Liked it a lot and enjoyed the setting in Hawaii on a cattle ranch. Not as technical as the Dr Kay books-- I've heard some readers criticize that series for being too "scientific". I'll look for more with "the Skelton Detective", Gideon Oliver, as the main character. Thanks to club members who recommended it!
