Piper leads a full life. She teaches music classes, as well as private piano lessons, is in the midst of writing a book and plays the piano at her church. A full and fairly normal life... or so she thinks. Piper's friend, Gabby, talks her into a tending a weight loss seminar and in the midst of it a masked man rushes in to kidnap someone. Piper spoils the attempt and soon finds herself the target of someone's wrath. Cade McAllister grew up with Piper's brothers and has recently moved home where he is a part time deputy and a crime scene photographer. When he covers the kidnap attempt, he is surprised to find Piper... who is no longer his friends' bratty tag-a-long tom boy of a sister. Cade makes it his personal quest to protect Piper and find out who is after her. Piper's goal is to stay alive and keep her life as unchanged as possible, including staying single and unattached. Will they each reach their goals or does the Lord have something more planned?

Very good story, good characters, fun read, music, Samson and a young woman struggling with too many brothers. Good message and a person learning she can't do it all.
