I just finished up listening to this today and despite all of the glowing reviews it received it couldn't hold my attention. Neither character was irritating or obnoxious, fortunately, but the story just seemed to go on and on going nowhere. Really though, I think the problem lies in the fact that I've read too many of these and they have to be exceptionally different to stand out for me. This one just wasn't.

Continuing story of the Effingtons. Pamela returns to London determined to lead a blameless life until the again meets Prince Alexei.
I'm a fan of Victoria Alexander's books. However, this was my least favorite book of all of her series. Very disappointing. It was a struggle to read from the beginning. Not worth the credit spent. If you are a fan of the Effington series, skip this one and spend your credit on something else.
