Fascinating read, a novel about a young British woman (Jewish of Latvian descenct) who moves to the Palestine territories following World War II. This chronicles both her life and the real-life changes taking place in the region, including the effort to remove British imperial forces from Palestine and the creation of the state of Israel and the havoc that ensued. Fascinating!
