When Invisible Children Sing is the story of Bolivian street children-children who've been abandoned by life, shut out of society, and forced to take refuge in sewers and back alleys. Dr. Chi-Cheng Huang has lived and worked among the street children in La Paz, Bolivia, since 1997, delivering medical care, friendship, and encouragement wherever he can.
I could not possibly recommend this book with more enthusiasm! It is truly such a heartfelt message..giving us a glimpse into the lives of these children. Chi Huang is also so open and honest about his experiences and the emotions that came with them. How refreshing, but also not one of those "feel good" books. This one is pretty profound, and it is more likely to leave you in tears than with that "warm fuzzy" feeling.
If you're not sure whether to read/order this book...I'm telling you, do it! I don't understand how you'd ever regret it :)
