This was my first book by this author but it definitely won't be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Always glad to find a new author.

I've read the previous books and was looking forward to continuing the series. The plot starts out simple as Jack prepares to defend a homeless man arrested for attempting to jump off a bridge and it just takes off from there. Jack & Theo get mixed up in some trouble once again. We also meet some new characters in a blind police officer named Vince, as well as his love interest Alicia. Not sure if we'll see either one again, but they definitely added to the plot. If you've liked the Jack Swytek series so far, you'll enjoy this one. I have the next two, so I'm ready to read those next.

This is the first book by the author I've read, but it's not to be the last. The plot catches the reader at the start with a negotiator talking an apparent would-be suicide down off a bridge. The twists and turns, the action that follow keep the reader turning the pages. The story involves a bit of history that many have forgotten, others never knew--but all will find interesting, even riveting. A truly good read.
